If you knew your home business could not fail, what would you do differently, what would you achieve, and what steps would you take to grow your home business differently. This is a question that brings to light some of the characteristics that differentiate the average person from the super achiever.

The number one reason most people never start a home business is fear of failure. All of us have it, some of us manage to overcome it, but there is no doubt how strong its hold is on us. Many people feel that super achievers do not have a fear of failure, but I assure you, they do. They simply refuse to let it slow them down or create a situation that would cause them to stop trying to succeed. They are so focused on the final outcome, that what many of us would consider a failure, is just a stepping stone for them. We can all program ourselves to overcome fear of failure and diminish its impact on our business decisions through positive affirmations.

Many times you may hear a business venture advertised as fail-safe, that you cannot lose your money if you go into that particular business. This is, of course, not true and you should be leery of these claims. But what if these were affirmations that you made to yourself on a daily basis, telling yourself over and over again that you are a success and you cannot fail. If made often enough, at some point these affirmations will become so embedded in your thinking and will be so programmed into your mindset, that they will become part of the way you think and perceive yourself. Most of all, they will keep fear of failure from entering into your future decision making regarding your home business.

The only real difference between a failure and a success is how you perceive yourself. Anyone who is willing to take action for the better is a success no matter what the outcome. Why - because they tried. It has been said that the greatest achievers make the greatest number of mistakes, simply because they are taking more action. The key here is to just get started, get into action, get busy. This is what the super achievers do.

Each step you take can be a successful action no matter what the outcome is, simply because you are making an effort to bring about some positive change in your life. For example, when you start advertising your home business, some ads will produce results, and some will not. It is really just the law of averages at work. In other words, if you place enough ads or talk to enough people, an average will appear in your business. You may have to talk to 10 people to get 1 sale, or whatever your average turns out to be. Knowing how the law of averages works helps you do what you need to do to keep your business going. This is a good reason to track your advertising so you can discover the law of averages for your particular business. The key is to give it time, give it attention, give it traffic and customers through advertising, and your business will prosper in time, but the important thing to remember is you are already successful just by taking action in your business.
