2) Nicholson Baker.Human Smoke. A panoramic and episodic look at the origins of the
Second World War. Human and pacifist but also truthful.
3) Joseph Balkoski. The 29th Division At Brest. An account of futile and wasteful blood shed in Brest, France by the storied 29th infantry division.
